POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Director (CMD), the Digital Media Associate (DMA) will be a critical part of the communications and marketing team responsible for designing and producing multimedia content that promotes IPF’s mission, programs, and fundraising efforts across multiple platforms.

The DMA will be responsible for creating engaging graphics, videos, and other online content for IPF’s website, social media, and email campaigns that translate complex concepts into concise, impactful messages. The DMA will also be responsible for developing web and print production layouts for IPF’s educational materials such as fact sheets and policy reports, and adapting educational materials into innovative online content with input from IPF subject matter experts where appropriate.

The DMA will serve as a thought partner to the CMD in developing new digital projects and exploring alternative digital tools, regularly publish updates to IPF’s website and social media channels, and support the CMD by performing other administrative tasks related to IPF’s communications and marketing functions as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop digital media content such as promotional videos, infographics, event advertisements, development appeals, annual reports, postcards, and brochures with direction from CMD and input from IPF staff and subject matter experts where appropriate
  • Design web and print production layouts for policy reports, fact sheets, and other educational content
  • Design and publish content for social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Regularly update IPF’s website pages, such as policy articles, landing pages, webinar recordings, podcast episodes, and more
  • Develop branded templates for documents, presentations, social media posts, etc., to be used by IPF staff
  • Continually look for ways to revise and improve graphic design elements on IPF’s website, email campaigns, printed materials, etc., and to utilize new technologies
  • Fulfill design, communications, and marketing requests from staff members in other departments, especially development and IPF Atid, our young professionals program
  • Develop graphic and video deliverables for virtual and in-person events
  • Other administrative work related to communications and marketing as needed

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • A minimum of 3 years of digital multimedia content production experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Expertise in graphic design, photo, and video editing; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Awareness of best practices for quality and efficiency in multimedia tools and channels, and ability to adapt to new forms of media
  • Knowledge of content management systems and website management; proficiency with HTML, CSS, and WordPress
  • Fluency with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms, and related analytics
  • Outstanding time management skills with an ability to be responsive to revisions and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to execute short-term, deadline-driven daily tasks, as well as manage multiple long-term projects requiring input and collaboration with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit, proofread, and ensure accuracy of finished work products

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The annual salary range is $57,000 - $63,000, depending on experience and geographic location. OTHER INFORMATION

Israel Policy Forum is based in New York, NY but as a result of COVID-19, Israel Policy Forum staff are currently working remotely through March 2022. Remote candidates within the United States will be considered for this role, but work must be performed during Eastern Time Zone working hours (9am - 6pm).
